Charlotte Beach
Located at the end of Harbor Blvd. This is a "harbor" beach
which features a boat ramp, volleyball court, tennis,
swimming pool as well as a playground and picnic areas.
Englewood Beach
This is a "gulf" beach that was redesigned in 2002 with a
boardwalk, playground, picnic facilities and beautiful sand
and sea oats.
Stump Pass
Located at the end of Manasota Key, this has 2 miles of
beach with restrooms, and parking. A great place to go
shelling, look for sharks teeth or just fish!
Don Pedro State Park
A great place for boaters - a bridgeless island that has
docks, amenities for picnics excellent shelling, swimming
and fishing.
Gasparilla Island/Boca Grande
One of the prettiest beaches which features 2 historic
lighthouses, and a historic downtown. Its southernmost tip
is great for shelling and fishing. There is a toll charge of
$4 to get on the island, but there is a lot to do and see so
its well worth the trip!
Cayo Costa State Park
This is a 7.5 mile long island that features lots of private
beaches - there is no road so access is by boat only. There
are a number of boat tours out there several times a week-or
else you can bring your own boat - Lots of hiking and there
are overnight accommodations in rustic cabins.
